CPEC (Milestone of Pakistan)
China Pakistan Economic Corridor

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a framework of regional connectivity between Pakistan and China to enhance the geographical linkages such as; roads, ports, buildings and rail & air transportation systems. Along with upgrading the volume of trade and business, it will also develop the academic and cultural values within the country and between different countries.

Having an immense potential, CPEC will sustain the economic development and will secure the socio-economic future of Pakistan and it will improve and develop infrastructure of the country which is very essential for the country.

This is a new source of potential to develop strategies that will boost up the country’s economy. These setups of roads, railways, dry port from Gwadar to Kashgar will enhance lives of about 3 billion people of the region. This project will open new business outlets and it will also provide a platform of cooperation in agricultural and tourism sector of Pakistan.

The most important perspectives of CPEC are:

  • Regional connectivity by connecting major ports of the country with trade routes through highways and railways.
  • Development of efficient Logistic Chain and Infrastructure and Trade Facilitation.
  • Development of Special Economic Industrial Zones
  • Increasing of oil storages.
  • Water and Hydro Power Development
  • Exploration and development of mineral resources to fund the economic program.
  • Development of skilled Human Resource

  • 2×660MW Coal-fired Power Plants at Port Qasim Karachi
  • Suki Kinari Hydropower Station, Narran, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.
  • Sahiwal 2x660MW Coal-fired Power Plant, Punjab
  • Engro Thar Block II 2×330MW Coal fired Power Plant
    TEL 1×330MW Mine Mouth Lignite Fired Power Project at Thar Block-II, Sindh, Pakistan
    ThalNova 1×330MW Mine Mouth Lignite Fired Power Project at Thar Block-II, Sindh, Pakistan Surface mine in block II of Thar Coal field, 6.5 million tons/year.
  • Hydro China Dawood 50MW Wind Farm (Gharo, Thatta).
  • 300MW Imported Coal Based Power Project at Gwadar, Pakistan.
  • Quaid-e-Azam 1000MW Solar Park (Bahawalpur) Quaid-e-Azam
  • UEP 100MW Wind Farm (Jhimpir, Thatta)
  • Sachal 50MW Wind Farm (Jhimpir, Thatta)
